President Rodrigo Roa Duterte personally inspected the Russian guided missile cruiser “Varyag” docked at Pier 15 in Port Area, Manila. Upon his arrival, the President was accorded with foyer honors by the Russian Navy. Thereafter, he led the tour together with the rest of the reception party and assessed the following stations: 1st Station – Helicopter Deck with KA-27PS Helicopter; 2nd Station – Upper Deck (star board side) with short range anti-missile system; 3rd Station – Upper Deck (mid ship) with long range anti-aircraft missile system; 4th Station – bow of the ship with anti-ship missile system and anti-aircraft carrier; 5th Station – Museum; and 6th Station – Bridge. “Varyag” is the flagship vessel of the Russian Navy Pacific Fleet. Nueva Ecija Bus Accident death toll climbs to 33

At least 33 people were killed after a bus fell into a 100-foot ravine in Barangay Capintalan, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija last Tuesday. Passenger Accident Management and Insurance Agency, Inc. (PAMI) operations manager Bong Nocum gave the latest figure on fatalities but said the number of injured was yet to be clarified since the total number of passengers was still undetermined. Nocum said children whose height were less than a meter travel for free, while some just sit on their guardian's laps. Police estimate 77 people were on the bus, including about 15 teenagers aged 15-19. A one-year-old child died in the incident. Survivors were taken to the Veterans Regional Hospital in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya and other nearby hospitals, and are being treated for their injuries. Police are awaiting clearance from physicians to conduct an investigation. The ill-fated LeoMarick Trans bus was traveling from Ilagan, Isabela to Candon, Ilocos Sur.

Sarado ang bahagi ng Northbound sa Alabang exit dahil sa pagbagsak ng tore ng NGCP. Posibleng naapektuhan daw ang pundasyon nito ng sunog sa residential area sa Brgy. Alabang kaninang umaga. Hindi pa rin sigurado kung kailan maiaalis ang bumagsak na tower. Wala pang kumpirmadong epekto nito sa power grid.
